Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of a Sales Trainer are to plan, develop, and manage activities associated with the training and development of sales agents. This includes insurance product training, carrier/ systems training, and process training (sales, marketing, etc).  Training takes place for new hires and existing personnel in classroom settings with a combination of group teaching and 1 on 1 coaching. Sales Trainers work closely with senior management to develop the skills necessary to carry out these duties, provide feedback to team members, and assist with the creation and management of all training material.  In the end, the Sales Trainer is responsible for developing the best sales and service personnel in the industry. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Effectively manage and motivate a classroom of new agents
  • Facilitate understanding of sales best practices
  • Creating new sales content for Agent Resources
  • Staying up to date with technology and best practices

 

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university or a minimum of 2 years of Sales experience
  • 1+ years working in a Training Role.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in an engaging manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent at problem-solving
  • Experience with a sales process
  • Desire to help others grow
