I live in the hills in 90077 and received a notice of non-renewal from State Farm. Brokers said they coudln't help. A neighbor quoted a work colleague as suggesting Sage. After sitting on hold for half an hour with a Westwood company found on Sage's website, I called Michelle LaPaglia's Goosehead agency. She picked up right away. We talked through my situation, she did the magic on her computer and within about half an hour I had a replacement HO-3 policy. She explained what it means to be a non-admitted (surplus lines) carrier. Very professional. I was very satisfied. And as I promised I would do, I sent an explanation of the insurance situation to the 90 or so on a groups.io list.serv in my HOA along with Michelle's contact info.
